Exhibitor News: 50 Years Since the First KAMAZ Truck Rolled Off the Line

Exhibition News
Exactly half a century ago, on February 16, 1976, the first serial KAMAZ-5320 truck rolled off the main assembly line of the Kama Automobile Plant. The arrival of this model marked a breakthrough in the development of Soviet automotive engineering and the launch of the plant in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Just three years later, in 1979, the 100,000th truck was produced, confirming the high efficiency of the new production capacity.

Today, KAMAZ is a recognized leader of the Russian automotive industry, a symbol of reliability and engineering excellence. Over half a century, the company has produced millions of vehicles, successfully conquering markets in more than 50 countries worldwide.

By Presidential decree, this year Naberezhnye Chelny is celebrating the 400th anniversary of the city and the 50th anniversary of the first KAMAZ truck. We celebrate this milestone together, remembering the journey from the first prototype to industry leader.

The latest KAMAZ innovations will be on display at the COMvex exhibition on May 26–29.
